Ishtirak Hara اشتراك الحارة
Offline-first Arabic PWA that runs the monthly meter-reading and billing cycle for a private generator operator in a Lebanese village.

For decision-makers
- The problem
- A neighbourhood “ishtirak” operator billed households across 13 neighbourhoods from a paper ledger — walking meters, subtracting last month, applying this month’s kW price and each subscriber’s amperage-tier fee — often with no signal.
- What I built
- A simple monthly billing screen, in Arabic, for a neighbourhood generator subscription. The operator types in each household's meter reading and the app does the rest: subtracts last month, applies this month's price and the subscriber's plan fee, and produces the bill. Bills go out by WhatsApp, print on A4 or copy as an image. It works fully offline — readings taken in the field with no signal sync when the phone reconnects.
- Where it stands
- In daily use by the operator since early 2025, billing households across 13 neighbourhoods every month. Rebuilt to work offline in August 2026 after connectivity in the field caused lost readings.
