Beit Al Kateb دار بيت الكاتب
Arabic RTL bookstore + publisher back office: receipt-verified Lebanese payments, watermarked in-browser ebooks, a promotions engine and ten accounting reports.

For decision-makers
- The problem
- A Beirut Islamic publisher had to sell print and digital books where no card gateway exists, deliver paid PDFs without handing out files, and run promotions, stock, cash and accounting without a developer on call.
- What I built
- An Arabic online bookstore where customers buy print and digital books and pay through the local transfer services people actually use (Whish, OMT, Western Union). Digital books open inside a secure reader stamped with the buyer's name, so files never get passed around. Behind it, a back office where staff confirm payments, manage stock, run promotions and coupons, send customer notifications and close the cash box at month end — no developer needed day to day.
- Where it stands
- Live since 2025 and in daily use. Over 250 orders have gone through the store, and digital-book delivery and notifications have been running in production since September 2026. Still actively maintained.
