- The problem
- A Montreal halal-meat producer selling by weight to restaurants, butchers and families ran on phone/paper orders, manual dispatch and a disconnected on-prem Sage 50 — no shared view of plant capacity, pricing history or delivery.
- What I built
- A complete system for a halal meat plant. Customers order online and pick a pickup slot that respects the plant's capacity. Staff weigh products on the scale and print bilingual labels, buy and produce by barcode, price by customer and volume, plan deliveries with automatic route optimisation on the drivers' iPads, and send invoices straight into Sage 50 instead of retyping them. Texts and emails to customers come from one shared inbox, and an assistant can answer questions about the data.
- Where it stands
- In daily use since 2023 across two locations (Montréal and Gatineau). Over a hundred thousand orders have gone through the system, and it keeps growing with the business — new features are added regularly.
